The Princess Royal Joined By Granddaughters at Festival of British Eventing
On August 3, Princess Anne and some of the youngest members of her family attended the Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park, the Princess’s estate in Gloucestershire.
Anne was accompanied by her daughter-in-law Autumn Phillips, along with three of her four granddaughters: Savannah and Isla Phillips and Mia Tindall. This was their first appearance since Zara Tindall confirmed that she had suffered a second miscarriage before she was pregnant with her youngest child Lena, who was born on June 18.
The festival is one of the largest events for horse trials in the United Kingdom, and is regularly attended by the Princess Royal and her family, who share a passion for horses. Five championships in total occur during the trials, where riders compete in courses that were designed by the Princess Royal’s first husband, Mark Phillips.
