Silver Wedding for Alois and Sophie
The hereditary prince and princess of Liechtenstein are celebrating their silver wedding anniversary today. The couple married twenty-five years ago in Vaduz, the capital of the principality.
Prince Alois is the eldest son heir of Prince Hans Adam II of Liechtenstein and Countess Marie Aglaë Kinsky of Wchinitz and Tettau. Princess Sophie was born as a Princess of & Duchess in Bavaria. She is the eldest daughter of Duke Max in Bavaria and his wife, born Countess Elisabeth Douglas. The couple has four children: Joseph Wenzel (23), Marie-Caroline (21), Georg (19) and Nikolaus (17).
The prince, who celebrated his 50th birthday last month, took over the daily reign of the principality in 2004. This enabled his father to focus on the management of the family assets and art collection.
