On June 14, the Duchess of Sussex and the Queen participated in their first joint engagement together as they visited Cheshire.

The two first watched a performance by a children’s theatre company at the Mersey Gateway Bridge which celebrated a thousand years of the bridge’s usage.

A minute’s silence was then observed for the victims of Grenfell Tower, which occurred a year ago in London. The Queen was praised for her wearing of the colour green which has been used to symbolise those who lost their lives in the fire.

Afterwards, Meghan and the Queen visited the Storyhouse Theatre; where they watched children from Ashgrove Farm Day Nursery perform a rendition of the popular children’s song ‘Wheels on the Bus’. This was then followed by a walkabout in the town where they met and shook hands with residents and visitors.

Meghan wore a Givenchy dress, the same house who designed her wedding gown. The Queen chose a bright green Steward Parvin outfit.
