Queen Maxima Opens the Social label Lab
Today, Tuesday May 15, Queen Maxima attended at the opening of the new Social label Lab in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
The Social label Lab is a workshop for Dutch designers and creators that, with the help of people with an occupational disability or a long-term unemployed, put together products, experimenting a new view of working, learning and participating with the power of design.
The Lab, an initiative of Stichting Social label, a foundation established in 2014 by designers Petra Janssen and Simone Kramer, aims to involve “people who strive for a social, sustainable, inclusive economy, because an economy that improves society does not leave anyone on the sidelines.”
Currently twelve designers and workplaces are affiliated with the Social label Lab.
