Catherine Stuns In Alexander McQueen During Dinner In Norway
The Duchess of Cambridge led the fashion stakes on Thursday evening during a black-tie dinner hosted at the Royal Palace of Olso by King Harald V of Norway in honour of the Cambridges’ official visit to the Scandinavian nation.
‘Grecian goddess’ was the term most frequently used by the media to describe Catherine’s appearance in a cream chiffon Alexander McQueen evening gown with a cape overlay and diamanté embellishment around the neckline. The Duchess paired the frock with diamond chandelier earrings and bracelet.
The other royal ladies in attendance at the dinner also pulled eye-catching evening dresses out of their closets: Queen Sonja in an oft-repeated purple ruffled number, Crown Princess Mette-Marit in lovely silver lace, Princess Märtha Louise in a black floral halter-neck dress, and Princess Astrid in a coral sari-inspired gown.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived in Oslo earlier on Thursday, continuing their Scandinavian tour. They lunched at the Royal Palace before being given a tour of the Princess Ingrid Alexandra Sculpture Park by the Princess herself, accompanied by Queen Sonja and the Crown Prince Couple.
