Queen Máxima Enjoys Some Baby Cuddles During Working Visit To Dordrecht
Today, Tuesday January 30, Her Majesty Queen Máxima of The Netherlands paid a working visit to the non-profit organization Babyhuis in Dordrecht.
Babyhuis, established at the end of 2013, offers care and guidance to mothers, pregnant women and babies whose parents who are temporarily unable to provide care for them. The organization also provides intensive assistance programs “to establish a secure bonding relationship between mother and child, guidance to self-reliance, creating a solid financial family situation and organizing shelter and a good day care”.
During the visit the Queen met with Barbara Muller, founder and chairman of the Babyhuis, and several employees and volunteers to be informed about the approach and the creation of the Babyhuis. Queen Máxima also made a tour of the house and was reunited with some mothers and babies who are currently receiving care from the organization.
Babyhuis is supported by Oranje Fonds, which the King and Queens are patrons of.
