Prince Albert and Princess Charlène Begin Visit to Burkina Faso
The Prince and Princess of Monaco arrived in Burkina Faso on Wednesday evening, ahead of a two-day official visit to the West African country.
After an official welcoming ceremony at Palais de Kosyam, President Roch Marc Christian Kaboré and his wife, Sika Bella Kaboré, spent Thursday with Prince Albert and Princess Charlene, as they paid visits around Ouagadougou to various organisations. They visited a primary school in the town Saaba, and the National Fire Brigade, to which Monaco has contributed equipment.
Prince Albert and President Kaboré also held bilateral talks throughout the day.
In the evening, the Presidential Couple hosted a dinner for their visitors at the Palais de Kosyam. President Kaboré delivered a speech during the dinner where he thanked Prince Albert and the Principality of Monaco for their strong friendship since bilateral relations were established in 2004, and wished the Prince, Princess and their people a prosperous 2018.
