New Year’s Courts Continue In Denmark

On Wednesday January 3rd, the next two New Year’s Courts were held in Denmark, hosted by Queen Margrethe II.

Both were held at Christian VII’s Palace, Amalienborg in Copenhagen; the first for the Supreme Court Judges, the Royal Life Guards and the Guard House Regiments, the second for the Diplomatic Corps.

Among the 80 members of the Diplomatic Corps attending the second reception was the newly appointed US Ambassador to Denmark, Carla Sands, who only took up her post in the middle of December.
