January 19, 1937: Almost a month after her birth, a newborn Princess Alexandra of Kent – second child and only daughter of Prince George, Duke of Kent and Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark – is presented to the press by a nanny outside the family’s London home, 3 Belgrave Square.
