Lalla Meryem Inaugurates in Rabat The Diplomatic Circle Charity Bazaar
Princess Lalla Meryem, the eldest sister of King Mohammed VI, inaugurated on Sunday December 3 in Rabat the annual charity bazaar organized by the diplomatic circle, gathering the spouses of ambassadors accredited to Morocco, held under the high patronage of HM King Mohammed VI.
After cutting the symbolic ribbon, the Princess was given details on the projects carried out by the Diplomatic Circle in social and cultural fields, as well as on associations backed by the Circle. She also visited the different stands of the charity bazaar, which features handicraft products from around the world.
The 2017 edition of the Diplomatic Bazaar was marked by presenting to Her Royal Highness a preview of the Children International Circle, which includes around 40 kids aged 8-16. These children are driven by a spirit of solidarity to share ideas that could lead to conducting charity projects during their stay in Morocco.
The Diplomatic Circle members are from different religions and cultures but they all work for the same goal: assist needy women and children, primarily in the rural world, and support Moroccan NGOs involved in the fields of education, health and women’s empowerment. The Rabat Diplomatic Circle, set up 30 years ago, celebrates through the annual charity bazaar friendship and solidarity.
