Queen Maxima at the FinTech Festival in Singapore
As special advocate of the UN Secretary General for Inclusive Financing for Development, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of The Netherlands gave a speech on Thursday November 16, at the FinTech Festival in Singapore.
The conference was organized by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), in partnership with The Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS) and in collaboration with SingEx Holdings and aims to provide a platform for connection, collaboration and co-creation for the FinTech community around the world and it is focused on technological applications in improving access to financial services.
At the conference, which began on November 13, were present more than 25,000 participants from over 100 countries between technology companies, investors, financial institutions, research institutes or innovation professionals. In her speech Queen Maxima stressed the importance of technological innovations in order to make financial services like savings account, insurance, loans or pensions, accessible to everyone.
The Queen was also present at the launch of the ASEAN Financial Innovation Network (AFIN), a network that aims to support financial services innovation and inclusion in less developed markets.
