Prince William Attends Metropolitan Police Passing Out Parade
Prince William was present for the Metropolitan Police Service’s Passing Out Parade at the Hendon Police Complex on Friday. He joined Commissioner Cressida Dick and Chief Superintendent Penny Banham in inspecting the 182 graduates during the parade.
The graduates, who will now be posted as probationary constables across the boroughs of London, marched and performed drills in front of their family and friends. William stopped to speak with many of the graduates as he inspected their lines, joking during the following reception that “pretty much everybody I met at the parade out there was going to Croydon.”
Before he left, the Duke planted a cherry tree in the memorial garden to mark his visit.
