King Mohammed VI Undergoes Eye Surgery in France
King Mohammed VI of Morocco has undergone successful pterygium surgery at the Quinze-Vingt Ophthalmology Hospital Center in Paris.
A statement co-signed by Professor Jean Philippe Norman, head of the department at the said hospital, and Professor Abdelaziz Maaouni, the King’s personal physician, said that the King is doing well after the surgery.
The King had a pterygium in the left eye that was growing over the cornea a condition requiring a full resection of the tissue and a 15-day convalescence for the eye to heal.
