Princess Laurentien Launches Literacy Week
In her role as honorary chairwoman of the Reading and Writing Foundation, Princess Laurentien on Monday officially launched this year’s Literacy Week during an event at the Dutch Innovation Factory in Zoetermeer.
The theme of this year’s Literacy Week is ‘A good deed is worth sharing’. In conjunction with this theme, a new store has been opened in the city – ‘Goede Daden Winkel’ – where people can go and receive a flower if they show on their social media that “they have done work to break the taboo on illiteracy”.
Princess Laurentien, wearing a pair of green trousers with a white blouse and knee-length cardigan, was joined by the Minister for Education for the launch.
