Princess Sofia Gives Birth To Second Child

The Marshal of the Realm in Sweden, Svante Lindqvist, has announced a short time ago that Princess Sofia, wife of Prince Carl Philip, was safely delivered of her second child this morning at the Danderyd Hospital.

The newborn, whose gender will be revealed at a yet-to-come press conference with Prince Carl Philip, was born at 11:24am.

Both Princess Sofia and the baby are doing well. The infant joins the couple’s son, Prince Alexander, and is sixth in line to the throne.
