A New Portrait On Her 70th Birthday For The Duchess of Cornwall
The Duchess of Cornwall celebrates her seventieth birthday today, and Clarence House has released a new portrait of the Duchess with the Prince of Wales to mark the occasion.
Mario Testino shot the snap, taken in May in Clarence House’s Morning Room.
Camilla was born in 1947 as the eldest child of Major Bruce Shand and The Hon. Rosalind Cubitt. She married Andrew Parker-Bowles in 1973; they had two children – Tom and Laura – before divorcing in 1995. During her first marriage, Camilla had rekindled a romantic relationship with the Prince of Wales, whom she had first met in the early 1970s. Their affair became public knowledge in the early 1990s, ahead of their respective divorces. Camilla and Charles were married in April 2005.
