Felipe and Letizia Depart For London – A State Visit Is Coming!

The King and Queen of Spain departed Madrid late Tuesday, bound for London and the long-awaited state visit between Spain and the United Kingdom.

They were farewelled by the President of the Congress of Deputies, Ana Pastor, from the Adolfo Suarez-Madrid Barajas Airport. Accompanying the royal couple on their trip is a strong business delegation, as well as the Spanish Foreign Affairs Minister, Alfonso Dastis.

King Felipe and Queen Letizia will be hosted by Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh from July 12-14.
