Crown Princess Victoria Turns 40 – Her Life In Pictures (1977-1986)
The Crown Princess of Sweden, Victoria, will celebrate her fortieth birthday this coming Friday, July 14. Over the next week, The Royal Forums Blog will feature a photo retrospective of each decade of her life.
August 1977: A newborn Victoria Ingrid Alice Désirée with her parents, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, at the family’s summer residence, Solliden Palace

December 1978: Victoria celebrates her second Christmas at the Royal Palace of Stockholm
August 1979: Princess Victoria at the christening of her younger brother, Carl Philip, who at the time was Crown Prince. Several months later, Victoria would become first in the line of succession as an amendment to the Act of Succession came into effect
