Her Trusty Raincoat: Queen Margrethe Presents The Queen’s Watch
Wearing one of her most exuberant pieces of clothing – a floral printed raincoat in yellows, blues and pinks that has made numerous appearances over the years – Denmark’s Queen Margrethe II presided over the Queen’s Watch ceremony at the Royal Lifeguard’s Barracks in Gothersgade.
This semester’s Watch – an award presented to the guard named best in the company for the period – was awarded to Niels Bertram Køhler-Jacobsen.
The Queen’s Watch started in 1969 in connection with the then-monarch, King Frederik IX’s, birthday.
