Prince Charles Visits Grenfell Tower Survivors and Relief Volunteers
On Tuesday, the Prince of Wales visited the Westway Sports Centre where he met with survivors of the Grenfell Tower fire that has claimed at least 79 lives.
He listened to the survivors’ stories of escape, and spoke with some who had lost family members in the June 14 tragedy. He had earlier inspected the wall of flowers and tributes left to those who perished.
Prince Charles also spent time meeting and speaking with volunteers who have been running relief efforts at the centre, which is being used to provide accommodation to residents who escaped the blaze. He praised the volunteers for their “fantastic work”.
