Earl of Wessex Represents The Queen At Armed Forces Day Commemorations
The main commemoration of Armed Forces Day in Liverpool on Saturday was attended by the Earl of Wessex, who represented Queen Elizabeth and the Royal Family.
Prince Edward watched a parade of hundreds of servicemen and women from all branches of the UK’s military through the city to the Liverpool waterfront, to HMS Iron Duke.
Armed Forces Day began as Veteran’s Day in 2006 (it was renamed in 2009), and is held annually to “honour the exceptional bravery” of the UK’s servicemen and women.
