King of Thailand ‘Fired Upon’ With Rubber Pellets By German Teens
While out cycling in Bavaria two weeks ago, King Maha Vajiralongkorn of Thailand and his entourage were ‘fired upon’ with rubber pellets from an airsoft gun by two teenagers, a spokesperson for the prosecution office in Landshut said on Tuesday.
The two boys – aged 14 and 13 – were in a garden along a street in Erding, Bavaria when they shot the bullets at a passing group of cyclists, as well as a car carrying the King later in the day. Neither time was the King hit, and none of his entourage or any bystanders were injured.
Thomas Steinkraus-Koch, the prosecution office spokesperson, said that aides for King Maha Vajiralongkorn informed the police department His Majesty did not wish to press charges.
