“Magic”: Prince Harry Praises Strength of Londoners During Visit to Borough Market
Prince Harry has described the strength of the London community as “magic” during his visit this morning to Borough Market, the scene of the June 3 terrorist attack.
The Prince spoke with a number of traders, restaurant staff and security who were at work two Saturdays ago when three terrorists attacked London Bridge and Borough Market, killing eight people.
He also praised the efforts of staff who did their best to protect patrons and members of the public; some throwing crates and other furniture at the attackers in an attempt to distract them from attacking others, others barricading the doors and windows of their establishments to prevent the attackers from entering.
Before leaving, Harry purchased a box of donuts from Bread Ahead.
Borough Market was reopened for trade yesterday.
