Princess Charlène Visits Newborns At Monaco’s Maternity Hospital
Before she accompanied her husband, Prince Albert II, to the Formula One Grand Prix de Monaco on Sunday afternoon, Princess Charlène paid a visit to the Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace where she visited a number of newborns and their mothers to mark Mother’s Day.
The Princess, who makes the visit to the hospital’s maternity ward each year on Mother’s Day, got to cuddle some of the newest residents of Monaco – five baby boys and two baby girls – as she spoke to their parents.
Charlène also laid flowers in the hospital chapel in memory of 22 victims of last Monday’s terrorist attack in Manchester, and prayed during a short blessing for the hospital’s infants.
“I am so blessed to have two such beautiful and happy children but I have many children around the world that I cherish and so when I see what happened in Manchester my heart is crying with those families who lost a precious loved one,” she said to the press after the visit.
