Monaco’s Princely Family Attend The Formula One Grand Prix
As they do each year, members of the Princely Family of Monaco were present for the 2017 Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco on Sunday.
Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene headed onto the track ahead of the race, for the national anthem and a minute’s silence in honour of the victims of the Manchester terrorist attack.
After the race, the couple were joined by Andrea and Pierre Casiraghi for the trophy presentation. Prince Albert presented the winner’s trophy to Sebastien Vettel, Princess Charlene presented second place to Kimi Räikkönen, and Andrea presented third place to Daniel Ricciardo.
Also present – in patriotic red and white! – were the two young children of Andrea and his wife Tatiana, Sacha and India. The youngsters spent some time in pit lane with their parents, where they enjoyed meeting characters from the Star Wars franchise. Pierre’s wife Beatrice, herself in a white and red pleated skirt, was there too.
