Jordanian Royals Celebrate Independence Day
May 25 marks Independence Day in Jordan, it is the day the Kingdom gained full independence from Britain in 1946. To celebrate the day, members of the Jordanian Royal Family attended various events in Amman.
King Abdullah and Queen Rania led the celebrations at Raghadan Palace, which included a documentary screening, medal presentation to multiple organisations and individuals to recognise their efforts to “enhance the progress” of Jordan, and music performances.
Princess Salma, the reigning couple’s younger daughter, was present; as were Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein and Princess Zeina, Princess Ayah bint Faisal and Mr Mohammad Halawani, Prince Hashem bin Al Hussein, Prince Hassan bin Talal, and Prince Rashid bin Hassan and Princess Zeina, among others.
Earlier in the day, King Abdullah paid inspected a military exercise of the King Hussein Bin Ali Brigade.
