Duchess of Cambridge Pays Tribute To ‘Inspirational Staff’ In Video For Children’s Hospice Week

In a video released this morning by Kensington Palace to mark the beginning of Children’s Hospice Week, the Duchess of Cambridge has paid tribute to the “dedicated and inspirational” staff and volunteers who provide hospice and palliative care to children across the United Kingdom.

“The work they do is extraordinary, and it really does make a world of difference,” Kate said in the video message, which was recorded in January during her visit to the East Anglian Children’s Hospice in Quidenham.

She also spoke of the incredibly important services EACH, and other hospices, provide to families who have children suffering life-limititing or life-shortening conditions.

“For these families, having expert care and support is vital, and this is what children’s hospices provide. They deliver first-class care in a safe environment that feels as close to home as possible, full of colour, warmth, love and support,” the Duchess said, saying that hospices allow families to “make the most of every precious moment they have together.”

The Duchess is Royal Patron of the East Anglian Children’s Hospices.
