Queen Rania Honoured At Fashion For Relief Gala
The Queen of Jordan was honoured for her humanitarian efforts at the 2017 Fashion for Relief gala in Cannes, France on Sunday.
Speaking at the event, Queen Rania said that it was incredibly important for people around the world to continue to support the plight of refugees, which is a forefront concern for Jordan as they host over 2.5million refugees, approximately 1.3million of those being from Syria. “The global community is fragile and prone to breakdown. But events like this one remind us of its strength and in that, we can find beauty, too,” she said.
This year’s gala was held in aid of Save the Children’s Every Last Child Campaign.
Among the 500 attendees were Princess Beatrice of York and her mother, Sarah, Duchess of York.
