Saudi King Welcomes US President to Riyadh
King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud has welcomed the President of the United States, Donald Trump, to Saudi Arabia on Saturday for an official visit.
An official welcoming took place at King Khalid International Airport, before the parties headed to the Royal Court.
The two leaders had a private audience following a luncheon at the Royal Court in the capital, where President Trump was awarded the Collar of Abdulaziz Al Saud. The Collar is the highest rank of the Order of Abdulaziz Al Saud and is presented to non-Muslim heads of state.
King Salman and President Trump – who is accompanied by First Lady Melania Trump and a host of advisors – signed several bilateral deals during the meeting. Also present was Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef.
In the evening a dinner was hosted by the King at Murabba Palace.
