William and Harry Present Legacy Award Honouring Their Late Mother
At St James’s Palace on Thursday, the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry presented the inaugural Legacy Award established by the Diana Award to honour the memory of their late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.
The Legacy Award was presented to twenty youths who have shown “outstanding displays of kindness, compassion and service to others”.
“I cannot believe how young you all are, most of you are still at school. When you get some spare time on your hands you’re saving lives and inspiring people. You should be absolutely proud of what you’ve started and what you’ve achieved, you’re still in your teenage years – don’t stop now guys,” Prince Harry said in a speech during the award ceremony.
Among the winners, whose ages range from 11 to 18, were teens campaign against bullying, have lost parents and siblings, or have worked to fight inequality for disadvantaged groups.
