Prince Emmanuel Joins His Mother For Queen Elisabeth Music Competition
Queen Mathilde of the Belgians brought along her younger son, Prince Emmanuel, for the second session of the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition semi-final, which is this year being held for the first time for cellists.
In each session, four of the 24 semi-finalists, perform either a Haydn or Boccherini concerto or recital accompanied by the Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia. The finals will be held later this month.
The Queen is patron of the competition.
