Crown Princess Mary Receives ‘Womenomics Global Impact Award 2017’
Denmark’s Crown Princess Mary was awarded the 2017 Womenomics Global Impact Award today during the Womenomics Business Conference CPH at the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. She is the fourth recipient of the award, for her work “to help women improve their conditions and exploit their full potential”.
“I am very honored to receive the award. It’s a very important prize because it helps to focus on the importance of gender equality in our world,” the Crown Princess said after being presented the award.
The award honours women who go “above and beyond in their respective fields, for their unique achievements and contribution to reach gender parity.”
Earlier in the day, Mary was in Aarhus where she opened the Arla Foods Global Innovation Centre. The Princess was given a tour of the new laboratories and testing facilities of the new centre, which has been built to improve product development for Arla, the fourth largest dairy producer in the world.
