Carl Philip and Sofia Speak At World Anti-Bullying Forum
Sweden’s Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia attended the second day of the inaugural World Anti-Bullying Forum in Solna on Monday morning.
The couple took to the stage during the morning session, addressing the international audience on the work they are doing with their foundation, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia’s Foundation, to combat online bullying.
“We are trying to contribute to an online society that is open and inclusive. A society where children and young people feel that they can truly be themselves. Together we can work towards a society where they will be accepted for who they are, regardless of their style, their background or who they happen to fall in love with,” Prince Carl Philip said in his part of the speech.
Princess Sofia – wearing a pink, navy blue and black crocheted floral dress – said that it was up to adults to lead the way for children when it came to anti-bullying: “Our choices matter. If we want to change how children and young people treat each other, we have to start with ourselves. All change starts here.”
