Picnic In The Woods: Crown Prince Frederik Joins Save the Children Club
As patron of Save the Children, Crown Prince Frederik spent his Saturday at Svanninge Bakker in Funen participating in one of the organisation’s Family Experience Club days.
Frederik joined young children in a number of activities centred around the club’s them for the day – birds – before helping volunteers prepare a roast chicken lunch. The Prince worked with the children to build a bird’s nest how a bird would, before lifting some of the participants in the air to give them a “bird’s eye view” of the nest.
The club runs once a month to help vulnerable families “establish relationships and communities, and provide positive experiences”.
