Princess Aiko Joins Parents At Wheelchair Basketball Championship

Japan’s Princess Aiko accompanied her parents, Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako, to the 45th Japanese Wheelchair Basketball Championships at a gymnasium in Shibuya Ward.

The royal trio watched from the stand during the matches before going into the training rooms to speak with the players and coaches. Princess Aiko appeared very interested in the sport, asking the players about their training and the reasons why they chose basketball as a sport.
