Aung San Suu Kyi Meets With Queen Elizabeth, Senior Royals
The State Counsellor of Myanmar, Aung San Suu Kyi, has met with senior members of the British Royal Family today during meetings in London.
Suu Kyi first had lunch with Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Cambridge at Buckingham Palace, before heading to Clarence House for a 45-minute long audience with the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall. She is currently on a tour of Europe, having already visited Italy, the Vatican and Belgium.
Earlier in the day, Queen Elizabeth held an investiture at Buckingham Palace where she invested American Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour as a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire for services to fashion and journalism. Others invested with honours today were Rio 2016 gold medal rowers and singer Marty Wilde.
