King of Morocco Lunches With French President For Last Time During Presidential Term

On Tuesday, the King of Morocco, Mohammed VI, was in France for a private audience and luncheon with the outgoing President of France, François Hollande, at the Palais de l’Élysée.

The two leaders spoke about the strong Moroccan-French relationship that has been cultivated over the years, particularly in the fields of “security, sustainable development, culture and education”. A statement released by the Moroccan Royal Court said both King Mohammed and President Hollande, who leaves office following upcoming French presidential elections on May 7, both had “confidence in the vitality of this exceptional partnership, that transcends political agendas”.

A two-hour lunch was then held, attended by 15 French and Moroccan officials.
