Another Milestone Birthday: Infanta Sofía Turns Ten

The younger daughter of the King and Queen of Spain, Infanta Sofía, today celebrates her tenth birthday.

Sofía was born in the late afternoon of April 29, 2007 at Ruber International Hospital in Madrid when her parents were still the Prince and Princess of Asturias. She made her public debut five days later when she and her mother left hospital accompanied by her father and elder sister, Leonor. The Infanta was baptised on July 15 that year. Sofía currently attends the Santa Maria de los Rosales School.

She is second in line to the Spanish throne. Her first Holy Communion is reported to take place on May 17.
