Prince Constantijn Presents World Press Photo 2016
Yesterday, Saturday April 22, Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien were present at the ceremony of the World Press Photo of the Year 2016 award held at the Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ in Amsterdam.
The Prince presented this year’s award to Turkish photographer Burhan Özbilici photographer, who works for the Associated Press. He was awarded for his photograph of the murder of the Russian Ambassador to Turkey, Andrey Karlov, on December 19 during the opening of a photo exhibition.
The annual World Press Photo award is organized by the World Press Photo Foundation, an independent, non-profit organization established in 1955 in Amsterdam. Prince Constantijn is patron of World Press Photo.
