Prince Albert Visits Site of the Second Battle of the Aisne
On Tuesday April 18, the Sovereign Prince of Monaco visit part of the site of the Second Battle of the Aisne, one of the many battles of the First World War. It was fought along France’s Chemin des Dames in April-May 1917.
Prince Albert, whose great-grandfather Louis II of Monaco fought in the battle, visited the battle’s memorial, where he saw different artefacts connected to the conflict.
