Queen Margrethe II Opens ‘Aarhus Story’ Exhibition
The Queen of Denmark was in Aarhus on Tuesday April 11, where she opened a permanent exhibition detailing the history of the city in a special location underneath Den Gamle By (the Old Town).
‘Aarhus Story’ takes visitors on a trek through Aarhus’s history and development, from the days of the Vikings to present times of the ‘big city’.
Queen Margrethe, in a tweed suit with a fuchsia pink blouse, was given a tour of the exhibition, which has been arranged as part of Aarhus’s time as European Capital of Culture 2017 (of which the Queen is patron).
