Princess Aiko Begins High School Education
The rain couldn’t take the smile of 15-year-old Princess Aiko of Japan’s face this morning as she arrived at Gakushuin Girls’ Senior High School where she will undertake her secondary education.
Joined by her parents, Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako, the Princess was attending the entrance ceremony for the 200 students who will begin at the school next week.
“I want to lead a fulfilling high school life with teachers and friends,” she said to the gathered press. The Princess has been placed in the ‘Middle’ class with 38 fellow pupils; her secondary education will take three years.
