Abdullah II and Rania of Jordan at the White House
Jordan’s King Abdulah II and Queen Rania visited the White House on Wednesday. Upon their arrival to the residence gate, the couple were welcomed by President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.
After posing for photos, the couples moved to the Oval Office and held brief talks. Queen Rania and the First Lady joined their husbands during the official press conference held following the two leaders. During the conference, both the King and President Trump delivered remarks on their talks and current situations, particularly in Syria.
While the King and President Trump were busy in serious political discussions, the Queen and First Lady paid a joint visit to Excel Academy, DC’s first and only public charter school for girls. They met with students ranging from pre-K to eighth grade.
