Princess Marie Opens New Children’s Surgical Centre in Odense

Princess Marie of Denmark was in Odense on Monday, where she officially opened the HCA Children’s Surgical Centre at the Odense University Hospital.

Welcomed by seven-year-old Melina with a bouquet of cream flowers, Marie then brought the youngster – who has undergone six surgeries throughout her short life to fix her intestines – up with her on to the stage when the time came to unfurl the opening banner. The Princess then took a tour of the new facility.

Later in the day, the Princess attended the annual research conference hosted by the HCA Children’s Hospital.
