The Prince of Wales has continued his official visit to Romania today, focusing today on the culture of the Balkan nation.

He began at Bucharest’s Village Museum, a popular tourist attraction that promotes Romania’s cultural heritage. Here, Charles toured the museum, viewing different traditional crafts. The Prince absolutely delighted locals when he joined in on a traditional folk dance.

Afterwards, Prince Charles visited the Vacaresti Nature Park where rangers walked him through par of the park and informed him of the wildlife that live there. Following a meeting with Patriarch Daniel of the Romanian Orthodox Church and a visit to the Patriarchal Cathedral, the Prince then visited one of his patronages, the FARA Foundation.

Here, one of the day’s top photographs was taken, when a young girl named Antonia gave the Prince a kiss on the cheek as he arrived at the centre. The organisation – one of the oldest British-run charities in Romania – provides assistance to vulnerable children and youth.

Prince Charles ended his day at the British Embassy where he participated in a meeting discussing modern slavery. He also had a private meeting with Crown Princess Margareta and Prince Radu of Romania at the Elisabeta Palace.
