Infanta Elena Launches Healthy Lifestyle Program Alongside Football Club

On Wednesday March 22, Infanta Elena paid a visit to the Real Sporting de Gijon Football Club where she helped launch a new healthy lifestyle program aimed at schoolchildren.

‘Living in Health’ has been established by the Mapfre Foundation and the Mareo Real Sporting de Gijón Education Foundation to teach children the importance of leading a healthy life and the “benefits of exercise and a healthy diet”. It involves various workshops to help put together healthy lifestyles.

As she met with high school students from a local school, the Infanta spoke to them about “establishing healthy routines in childhood” to improve the likelihood of such routines continuing into adulthood.

Elena was presented with a personalised football jumper from the team.
