Second Child On The Way For Carl Philip and Sofia

The Swedish Royal Court announced Thursday morning that young Prince Alexander will be receiving a sibling come September. Princess Sofia is pregnant with her second child.

“We are pleased to announce that we are expecting a child, a sibling for Prince Alexander. We look forward to welcoming a new little member of our family,” Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia said in the statement.

The couple’s schedule of engagements over the next few months will remain unchanged, the Court said. Carl Philip and Sofia were married in June 2015 and welcomed their first child in April 2016.
