The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge carried out engagements on the last day of their tour to Paris on March 18. The tour began the day before. A shooting had occurred at Orly Airport but William and Kate still continued their tour.

Firstly, William and Kate visited Les Invalides in honour of World War II veterans and survivors of the 2015 terrorist attack at the Bataclan. William told them, “We think you are very strong and brave, you’ve made amazing progress”. At Les Invalides, they spoke to Jessica, a 25 year old who was shot 27 times in the leg, and Kevin, who was also shot in the leg. Both are victims of the Bataclan attacks.

This was followed by a visit to the Musée D’Orsay, followed by a visit to the Trocadero Square where they went to the Eiffel Tower and took part in a rugby skills session with French and English school children. Their last engagement was a rugby match between France and Wales, which France won.

Kate wore a Caroline Herrera coat and a Chanel dress. The couple returned to England early in the evening, avoiding the Orly airport.
