Crown Princess Mary Attends Jaha’s Promise Documentary Premiere

Denmark’s Crown Princess this afternoon attended the world premiere of the documentary Jaha’s Promise at the Grand Theatre in Copenhagen.

The documentary follows the story of Gambian-born Jaha Dukureh, who went through female circumcision as a newborn and was married off at the age of 15. Ms Dukureh has used her experience to found an anti-female genital mutilation non-profit organisation. Her activism has seen Gambia ban FGM.

Princess Mary – who keep her look simple in a black suit with a silver lace blouse – posed for photographs on the red carpet with Ms Dukureh, before going inside to watch the documentary.
