Mette-Marit Visits Red Cross Women’s Centre To Mark Fifth Anniversary
Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway today visited the Stella Red Cross Women’s Centre in Oslo, five years after she opened the centre which provides support to women with immigrant backgrounds.
Meeting the volunteers who helped over 6,500 women last year, the Crown Princess was informed of the work the centre has done in its five years. Later, cake was served and Mette-Marit sat down with women who have used the centre’s services.
The centre provides access to job counselling, language courses, social meetings and relaxation classes to immigrant women to help them “become a major resource for their children, families and society”.
